Heart Rings

Heart Rings
You will need:
- Milk top (plastic pull tab from larger milk carton)
- Assorted pink and red tissue, paper, ribbon, scrap fabric and other materials)
- Wax Paper
- Bowl, water
- Glue
- Glitter Glue
- Glue Gun

- In a bowl, add 1 cup or so of warm water. Cut up scraps of tissue, paper and above materials into tiny pieces - the tinier the better! Let soak for a few mins (5 or so).
- Pull apart any larger pieces, snip with scissors if need be. All pieces should be small like confetti.
- Drain the water and scoop out the confetti mush. Divide into piles 1" x 1" on a piece of wax paper. Add a generous amount of white glue to each small pile and massage in. Press piles as flat as possible - try to keep the flattened pile as even in thickness as possible.
- Fold the wax paper over the piles and press to compress the piles even more.
- Open wax paper and let dry about 3/4 - when glue is still a bit soft and you can still bend the pile.
- Cut heart shapes out of compressed confetti, add a layer of glitter glue for extra dazzle. We used magenta. Let dry completely.
- Hot glue gun hearts onto milk tops. Tip: if the glue doesn't properly adhere to plastic milk top, wrap in masking tape and then glue heart shape to taped area on milk top.

What a gorgie piece of jewelry for that special someone.
